Plan to live site
rebecabarrios.com launched August 2026 with Person schema, a public-safe resume, and a full content architecture.

The Client

Rebeca Barrios has spent twelve years building HR at one of UCF’s flagship research centers, after a career across international diplomacy, energy, and finance. Her goal was not a storefront. It was to be a recognized name in STEM and research-center HR — speaking invitations, committee seats, professional-association visibility — and, explicitly, to own page one for her own name, which she shares with unrelated people and with data-broker listings that publish home addresses. Published with her consent.

The Problem: A Common Name and an Unbuilt Page One

Search her name before the project and you found a director of operations at a logistics company, a TikTok account, a Facebook profile, and people-search sites offering her address and phone number — none of it her professional identity. Nobody had ever built that search result on purpose. Her resume, the one document recruiters would actually read, carried her home street address and inconsistent dates.

The Approach

Positioning first. Competitive research narrowed “higher-education HR” to STEM and research-center HR specifically — grant-funded staffing, postdoc onboarding, international-scholar immigration HR — a defensible, low-competition niche that matched the work she actually does.

Architecture built for authority. Home, About, four Expertise pillars each targeting a verified head term, Insights, Leadership & Involvement, Resume, and Contact — a silo structure where every post links up to its pillar, the same logic I use on a business site, pointed at credibility instead of calls.

Entity SEO. Person schema, consistent naming across every real profile, sameAs links, and a keyword-led H1 (“Twelve years turning HR into a strategic partner for STEM research”) so Google can connect the site, the LinkedIn profile, and the name.

Footprint cleanup. A public-safe resume — home address removed, dates reconciled, a professional summary written from her real history — and data-broker opt-outs, so the results we don’t control stop outranking the ones we do.

Design and photography. A brand system chosen from four concepts, and a directed headshot and portrait session so every image on the site is hers. See personal branding websites and personal branding photography.

The Results So Far

rebecabarrios.com went live in August 2026. Branded-name search results are measured over the first 60–90 days — the position of her site, her LinkedIn profile, and her real professional profiles for “Rebeca Barrios,” “Rebeca Barrios HR,” and “Rebeca Barrios UCF” — and this page will be updated with those numbers as they come in. The structural result is already in place: a site with her name on the domain, Person schema, a public-safe resume, and a professional footprint that finally says what she does.

What This Means for You

If your name is searched by recruiters, boards, patients, or clients — and it is — the first page of Google is either something you built or something that happened to you. Executive reputation management is the discipline of building it on purpose.
